Advanced Dental Technology At Jupiter Advanced Dentistry

At Jupiter Advanced Dentistry, utilizing the latest dental technology is as crucial as keeping up with current treatment techniques. We are dedicated to incorporating technology that allows us to deliver top-tier dental care. Here are some of the tools we use to assess patient oral health.

We constantly adopt emerging technologies that enhance visibility, minimize discomfort, and enable us to conduct thorough assessments. If you have any questions about the technology your dentist uses during your exams, please ask! We are always happy to educate our patients so they are well informed about their dental care.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays offer advanced imaging options designed to save time, provide clearer dental photos, and expose patients to less radiation than traditional x-ray technology. They use 90% less radiation than traditional x-rays. These images are immediately available to your dental team, allowing the dentist to zoom in for greater precision in assessing your dental health.

Intraoral Camera

While x-rays are vital for assessing your dental health, they do not provide as much detail as the intraoral camera. This tool reveals every aspect of your teeth and mouth in detail, identifying issues such as cracked teeth, plaque deposits, cavities next to fillings, and excessive wear. This technology helps in early problem detection, preserving your smile and reducing long-term treatment costs.

The intraoral camera is about the size of the mirror your hygienist uses. As we use the camera, you can see everything on a monitor, helping you understand the condition of your teeth just like your dentist does. This aids in making informed decisions about treatment options.

Digital CT Imaging

Digital CT imaging provides 3D data for your dentist to determine appropriate treatment plans for dental implants, wisdom teeth extractions, full mouth restorations, and more. Some benefits of digital CT images include:

  • A complete scan in only 20 seconds
  • Less radiation compared to traditional CT scans
  • Easy data sharing with patients, ensuring they stay informed and can make educated decisions about their treatment

Digital Impressions

Digital impressions capture the structure of the teeth and gums using optical technology, eliminating the need for traditional molds that can be uncomfortable for patients. They provide a highly detailed and accurate impression of your teeth.

The scanner is a compact, hand-held wand that involves no radiation and can usually be completed in less than five minutes. The result is an accurate 3D impression of your teeth and soft tissue structures. Digital impressions can be used for any restorative treatment, including crowns, veneers, inlays/onlays, bridges, implants, and Invisalign.
